Deputy President William Ruto on Wednesday evening wished Jubilee Secretary General Rapael Tuju a speedy recovery.
Ruto’s message came shortly afters reports emerged that Tuju had been rushed to the Intensive Care Unit following the accident.
The Deputy President further wished other occupants of the car who are believed to have also sustained serious injuries quick recovery.
“Our prayers and best wishes to Cabinet Secretary and Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju and all those that were involved in today’s morning accident at Magina in Lari, Kiambu County. We wish you speedy recovery,” Ruto stated in a statement shared on Twitter.
Ruto is the first Jubilee official to comment on the Tuju’s Wednesday morning accident.
Tuju was headed for Moi’s burial when his car allegedly hit a matatu.
