A tiger at the Bronx zoo in New York tested positive for coronavirus. The female Malaysian tiger is the first known case of an animal infected by human with Covid-19.
The tiger was tested for the virus after it started showing signs of Covid -19 such as dry cough last month after it was exposed to an Asymptomatic zoo employee.
The tiger named Nadia was infected alongside another tiger named Azul, two other tigers and two African lions. The animals are expected to make full recovery.
